Hello Family!
I’ve been meditating on Matthew 8 throughout the week because I’ve been hard pressed about getting clarity on having a biblical perspective on what healing looks like.
In Matthew 8:1-4 Jesus performs miracles (it’s the title of the chapter). The texts says, “... Jesus came down the mountain side. Suddenly,a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” (1-2).
Now, using context clues, based on the title and the nature of Jesus, we have an expectation that Jesus healed the man with leprosy. As we continue to read the text it says, “3 Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. 4 Then Jesus said to him, “Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.” (Matt. 3-4).
Most people would read over that, and continue on to see what other miracles Jesus performed, however I encourage you to sit with me in these 4 verses.
1ST: See yourself in the man…
In these biblical times, people suffering with leprosy were “banished” from their home and city, forced to isolate with others who may have similar disease or illnesses. You may not be suffering from leprosy, you could be suffering with a pornography addiction, drug addiction, suicidal thoughts, self harm, self-sabtoage, COVID-19, spiritual warfare, HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), or any THING that is separating you from your community. Our individual suffering, whether known by many or no one at all, can do this to us (cause separation).
So, the man, knowing the power of Jesus, makes the statement, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean”(2)
What is stopping you from asking Jesus if He is willing to heal you? Is it knowing He CAN and WILL? pride? Embarrassment? Doubt?
The man with leprosy had to put his pride, and embarrassment, aside because he knew he had a need that only Jesus could meet. He is similar to you and me. There are things that we wrestle with that we need Jesus to heal us from and help us through. We have to make the active decision to put our pride, fear, and doubt aside where we can be healed.
Jesus is willing to meet your needs (Philippians 4:19). Your situation, sickness, or silent struggle is not too big or obscure for GOD to fix.
Jesus is telling you, just as He told the man with leprosy, “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”(3).
2ND: SAY IT WITH ME—
I AM HEALED AND I AM RESTORED!
Our surrenderance, confession, and faith holds the power to see God move in marvelous ways in our life and the lives of others. So, will you take the step? Will you ask for help? Will you “suddenly approach” & “kneel before Jesus” with hopes of seeing Him heal and restore you?
I love you. Jesus loves you MOST! Stay fruitful. Stay encouraged.
Most of all… BE HEALED AND SET FREE FROM THE YOLKS OF BONDAGE THAT HAVE BEEN LEACHING LIFE AND PURPOSE FROM YOUR SOUL. #FruitfulFriday #TheFruitfulPlace #ShareTheFruit <3

Deep and something to ponder. Is it pride or embarrassment that is keeping me from being healed? 🤔
